About Naj

Hello, Future Students!
My name is Najmah Moosa, and I am currently completing my Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and History at The IIE’s Varsity College Pietermaritzburg campus.
While I initially explored a path in psychology—fascinated by how the human mind works—I soon realised that my true calling lies in education. Literature and history offer some of the deepest insights into human nature, emotion, and society, and I wanted a career where I could actively share that discovery with others.
Why I Am Passionate About Teaching
The Power of Storytelling: English isn't just about grammar or analysing texts; it is about finding your own voice, learning empathy through different perspectives, and understanding the narratives that shape our world.
Connecting Past and Present: History teaches us that the world we live in today is built on a complex foundation of choices, struggles, and triumphs. I want to help you see history not as a list of dates, but as a living, breathing story.
नEmpowering Young Minds: My ultimate goal is to create a classroom environment where you feel heard, challenged, and inspired to think critically. Education is a transformative tool, and guiding you through your high school journey—and helping you unlock your own potential—is a privilege I look forward to every day.
Looking ahead, I plan to complete my Postgraduate Certificate in Education and eventually take my love for teaching abroad to places like Riyadh or the UAE, but my foundation and heart will always be rooted in inspiring the students right in front of me.
I cannot wait to embark on this learning journey together!
