About Gulcan
Hi, I’m Gulcan, a passionate tutor with a background in science and education. I hold a BSc in Zoology and an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation, and I specialise in tutoring Science GCSE, Chemistry and Biology A-Level, and Maths GCSE. My goal is to help students develop a deep understanding of their subjects while building confidence in their abilities. I tailor my lessons to suit each student’s learning style, making complex topics easier to grasp. I believe that with the right support, every student can achieve great results!

Introduction & Teaching Style: I am a dedicated and experienced educator with a background in science and a passion for helping students succeed. My teaching style is engaging, structured, and adaptable to each student’s learning needs. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts, using real-world examples and interactive methods to ensure a deep understanding. I encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence-building in my students. Subject Knowledge & Specialisation: I hold a BSc in Zoology and an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation, giving me a strong foundation in biological sciences. I specialise in tutoring Science at GCSE level, as well as Chemistry and Biology at A-Level. Additionally, I tutor GCSE Maths, helping students build strong numerical and problem-solving skills. I am familiar with different exam boards and curricula, allowing me to tailor lessons to meet specific syllabus requirements and exam techniques. Teaching & Tutoring Experience: As a Teaching Assistant, I have worked with students across different age groups and abilities, supporting their learning in a range of subjects. My experience in both one-on-one and classroom settings has equipped me with the ability to adapt my teaching approach to suit each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. I am committed to providing clear explanations, targeted practice, and continuous encouragement to help students achieve their academic goals.
