I am a science and math tutor with extensive academic and research experience across top institutions. I earned my Master’s degree on a full-ride scholarship from Texas A&M University and completed my Ph.D. at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC). Professionally, I have worked as a scientist at Stanford University and UC Berkeley, and have collaborated with organizations including NASA, where I was also selected as a NASA Fellow.

About the lesson

I am a science and math tutor and have recently moved from California to Kansas. I bring several years of tutoring experience, working with students from high school through undergraduate level. My background allows me to support students across a wide academic spectrum — from foundational math and science to advanced college and graduate-level coursework. Beyond subject mastery, I bring a strong understanding of how science is applied in real research environments, which helps students truly understand why they are learning what they are learning.

In addition to tutoring, I have significant experience with competitive academic writing, including college admissions materials, fellowship and scholarship applications, and research statements. Having successfully navigated and secured highly competitive programs myself, I guide students through the strategy, structure, and clarity needed to stand out.

My teaching style is:
