About Kobby
More about me: My dad is a mathematics professor so I've always loved math and had an appreciation for education. I had by far the most peer tutoring hours in high school. Teachers would beg me to help out in the tutoring center. I even had a student tell me I explained a concept better than their teacher. I also tutored online last year. I tutored 3 SAT math bootcamps where I helped a lot of students with sub 700 scores score 740+ on the math portion of the SAT. I even helped out in my own classes. In calculus and physics I was known for helping everyone understand difficult concepts. When my friends needed help, they would just come to me. I competed in Science Olympiad for the first time in my junior year and won 1st place in Ecology at my regional competition. Of the 4 AP Exams I already have scores for, I got a 5 in AP Lit and AP Environmental Science. Now I'm attending NC State University as a first-year engineering student. I'm seen as a mentor by several of my friends, whether it be for math team or orchestra, and I continue to help them after I've graduated from high school. I take great pride in using my skills to help others.
