About Alex
I am an experienced Psychology teacher (13 years), with outstanding results at both A level and GCSE. I have progressed in my career to be a senior leader, director of Sixth form and Assistant Principal- but realising the area of the job I love the most is being in the classroom, and after starting a family, I decided to step down and focus on teaching. I'm passionate about Psychology and take great pleasure in seeing others thrive in the subject.

I fully understand the importance of personalised learning, meeting individual needs and developing not only the skills to succeed, but a love of learning. I am well trained, have been an examiner for both AQA and OCR and have a track record of success when providing intervention for students not meeting their ppotential.
The first session would be a review of current understanding and skills to enable future sessions to be directly targeted to your needs. I am happy to deliver online sessions and have a bank of resources and tools to enable engaging and interactive student sessions. A particular area of strength is the development of examination techniques, enabling students to hit top band marks for high grades, and ensuring lower band students pick up recognition for knowledge and understanding.
Evaluation is also a key area that tends to be where students struggle - I have a number of techniques for students to adopt, that mean students can effectively evaluate any theory, study or approach without learning specific points for each.
