About Robin
I'm a college instructor, IT professional, and lifelong learner with over 20 years of experience in technology, education, and systems thinking. I hold a degree in psychology and have taught everything from foundational computing to advanced problem-solving and applied mathematics. My background includes work as an infantry soldier, a systems analyst, and a post-secondary educator, giving me a practical, grounded approach to complex subjects. What truly drives me is helping students unlock confidence in subjects they once found overwhelming. I understand how diverse minds learn differently—especially those who, like me, thrive with clarity, structure, and patience. When I’m not teaching or coding, you’ll find me woodworking, writing fiction, or exploring the wonders of science with my daughter. I'm passionate about making knowledge accessible, engaging, and empowering for every learner.

As a college instructor with nearly two decades in the I.T. industry and a degree in psychology, I bring a structured yet adaptable approach to teaching mathematics, astrophysics, and computing. I specialize in breaking down complex topics into clear, relatable concepts, using real-world examples and visual aids when helpful.
My lessons are student-centered: we begin by identifying knowledge gaps and goals, then build a personalized learning plan focused on understanding, not memorization. I teach high school and college students, as well as adult learners seeking to upskill or re-enter technical fields.
What sets me apart is a deep patience, a respect for neurodiverse learners, and the ability to explain the why behind the how. Whether you're struggling with algebra, navigating astrophysical equations, or learning to code, I’ll meet you at your level and guide you forward.
