About Rebecca
I have had an interesting and varied career as a Primary teacher over the last fourteen years. After teaching for a number of years in London, I fulfilled my passion for travel and taught in a couple of International Schools in Vietnam and Russia, where I also completed my I.B teaching qualification.
Having returned to my childhood home on the beautiful South West coast of the U.K I have been teaching online for the past two years for a specialist Phonics/ Literacy company and for myself. I am a specialist in phonics teaching and was the Early Years/ Phonics lead teacher in my final school.
I aim to inspire children to love books and reading/writing, as well as providing them with the skills and techniques to be confident in their own abilities. I teach mainly through Zoom with a mixture of resources. All your child will need is a good internet connection and a whiteboard and marker, or paper and pen. I will provide a report of what we have covered/ plan to cover every two weeks and am always on hand to discuss anything if needed. Get in touch if you would like a chat.

I tutor all children from the ages of 4 - 12
-Early phonics skills for younger children to initiate and develop reading and writing in a creative/ fun, yet structured way.
- Advanced phonics/ spelling/ grammar/ creative writing for older students.
-ESL language development for children who are learning English through interactive and creative resources and activities. Phonics lessons too for ESL children who want to learn to read and write.
30 minute /45 minute sessions depending on age
Qualified British Primary Teacher/ I.B Teacher
