About Nabil

Hi, I’m Nabil. I am currently a Business undergraduate at Nanyang Technological University, and I previously completed my A-Levels at St. Andrew’s Junior College. Before that, I studied at St. Andrew’s Secondary School, where I went through both the N-Level and O-Level academic pathway. Because of this, I understand what it feels like to build yourself up academically over time, and I try to bring that same patience and encouragement into the way I teach.

I have 3 years of tuition teaching experience and am confident in teaching Primary school English, Mathematics and Science. I also have a strong foundation in O-Level English, Mathematics and Combined Science, as well as N-Level English, Mathematics and Science. While my current focus is on Primary school students, this background helps me guide upper-primary students with a clearer understanding of the skills they will eventually need in secondary school.

I enjoy teaching because I know that many students do not struggle because they are “bad” at a subject. Very often, they struggle because the topic was explained too quickly, the basics were not fully understood, or they were not given enough time to ask questions. My goal as a tutor is to make lessons feel less intimidating by breaking concepts down into simple, manageable steps.

My teaching style is patient, structured and practical. I focus on helping students understand the reason behind each method, instead of just memorizing answers. For Mathematics, I guide students through problem-solving steps and common question types. For Science, I help students understand key concepts and learn how to phrase answers clearly. For English, I focus on grammar, comprehension, vocabulary and writing skills.

I believe tuition should be useful beyond the lesson itself. That is why I aim to provide clear explanations, guided practice, notes, worksheets and recap support where suitable, so students can continue revising even after class. I also try to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, even if they think the question is simple.

Overall, I hope to help students build stronger foundations, gain confidence in school, and develop better learning habits over time.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to give students support beyond the usual one-hour tuition session. I teach Primary school English, Mathematics, and Science through structured online lessons, with a focus on helping students understand concepts clearly, practice effectively, and revise independently after class.

I usually begin by identifying the student’s weak areas before breaking each topic down into simple steps. For Mathematics, I focus on clear working, problem-solving methods, and recognizing common question patterns. For Science, I help students understand concepts and learn how to phrase answers properly. For English, I focus on grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, and writing techniques.

Each lesson is typically 1 to 1.5 hours long. During the lesson, students will go through concept explanations, guided examples, practice questions, and corrections. Where suitable, I also provide notes, worksheets, recap videos, and practice paper walkthroughs so that students can revisit difficult topics after class instead of forgetting what was taught.

I have 3 years of tuition teaching experience and am confident in teaching Primary school students from P1 to P6. My teaching style is patient, structured, and practical. I aim to help students build confidence, reduce confusion, and develop better study habits over time.

These lessons are suitable for Primary 1 to Primary 6 students who need help with schoolwork, foundation-building, revision, or exam preparation.
