About Anum

I am an experienced Primary School Teacher, Maths Leader and Tutor currently teaching Year 6, with teaching experience across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I am passionate about helping children build confidence, strengthen core skills and make strong academic progress. I deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that are carefully adapted to suit each child’s individual needs. With a secure understanding of the National Curriculum, I support pupils in developing fluency in Maths, strong reading comprehension skills, accurate SPaG knowledge and confident writing. Alongside my classroom role, I provide targeted support for pupils preparing for SATs, while also focusing on the wider academic skills and independence needed for a successful transition to secondary school.

About the lesson

I am an experienced teacher offering personalised tutoring designed to support each child’s individual learning needs. I begin by carrying out an initial assessment to identify strengths, areas for development, and any gaps in understanding. This allows me to plan targeted lessons that help pupils make clear and consistent progress. My sessions are engaging, structured, and supportive, helping children to build confidence while strengthening their knowledge and skills. I create a calm and positive learning environment where pupils feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, and challenging themselves. Lessons are carefully adapted so children can work at their own pace while remaining motivated and focused. I provide both support and stretch within my lessons, ensuring that pupils who need additional guidance receive it, while high-attaining pupils are appropriately challenged to deepen their understanding and reach their full potential. My aim is to help every child develop confidence in their abilities and enjoy learning. I can also support pupils with SATs preparation, building confidence in core subjects, and helping children catch up on missed learning or gaps in understanding.
