About Sam
Hi I'm Sam! I am a 3rd year PhD student at Oxford University conducting biomedical research, with a specific interest in cell biology and genome editing.
I have previously tutored multiple students studying Biology for GCSEs, A-Levels and undergraduate degrees and have supported Oxford interview preparation. Through these sessions, I have become familiar with the demands of assessors and have developed the skills to effectively communicate complex concepts in Biology.
As well as studying Biology at Oxford for my undergraduate and Master's degrees, I have experience working in industry, supporting work in drug discovery, cell line development and the lab grown meat industry.

I have a keen interest in Biology and am happy to provide tailored sessions on subjects of the student's choice.
For those who wish to prepare for exams, we can discuss content from the course, identify knowledge gaps and work on exam technique.
For those looking to prepare for university, I am happy to run "Oxbridge style" tutorials, with open discussions that should improve student's resilience and adaptability when faced with novel biological concepts.
If student's are in the early stages of preparing for university, I am also happy to help out with personal statements.
Overall, whatever the student's ideal lesson may look like, the most important thing for me is for them to enjoy learning about Biology, as I believe this is the most important factor that will enable them to excel in exams or university applications.
