About Sophie
I am a performing arts and music teacher with over 12 years’ experience teaching in both franchise and private 1-to-1 settings. I teach singing, piano and music theory to children and adults, and hold the ARSM in Music Teaching. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, musical skills and a lifelong enjoyment of music
I’m passionate about creating a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel confident to develop both their skills and their love of music. I believe that everyone can make progress with the right guidance, patience and structure, and I take pride in helping students grow musically while also building self-belief and enjoyment. Whether a student is learning for exams, performance, or personal fulfilment, my aim is always to make lessons positive, motivating and tailored to the individual.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or developing existing skills, lessons focus on building strong foundations, confidence and enjoyment. I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable to learn, ask questions and make progress at their own pace. Lessons may include technique, repertoire, theory, performance skills and exam preparation where appropriate, with an emphasis on steady progress and a positive learning experience.
