About Arnold
I am a qualified chemistry tutor with over 18 years of teaching and lecturing chemistry in two different continents. I have been offering one to one private lessons since 2006 in England and added online lessons in 2017. I have taught over 50 students one on one since 2006 and 95% of them improved their grades to A and A*. Even with recent changes in A level specifications, one of my A level students who was predicted B/C went on to achieve a grade A when I took her for Chemistry in September 2017. I am currently doing all my lessons online via Zoom. I hold a BSc degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry. I am qualified to teach Chemistry up to and including A Level and IB Diploma. I always carry out an initial assessment of students during the first lesson to inform me of their areas of need. I then produce a course outline which we will follow until the ends of the lessons. I make use of technology to enhance my lessons. I always start with lesson outcomes, introduction and include relevant activities, worked examples and typical exam questions to show the student the required level of attainment. I conclude my lessons with a review of the learning outcomes and give ideas of the next lesson.
