Experienced organic chemistry tutor with a PhD from the University of Toronto and a Master's degree from the University of Oxford.

Jay and I started our PhDs at the University of Toronto in the same cohort and we worked together on several occasions for in both academic projects and large-scale events. During this time, I have seen Jay lecture on basic Organic Chemistry concepts to first and second year undergraduates and also graduate-level seminars and invited talks. He has also helped me in academic projects regarding analytical techniques, specifically in mass spectrometry. Jay has a very strong and comprehensive understanding of chemistry and are able to tailor explanations on a topic to the level of his audience. On top of that, he is very personable and understanding, which would make any session with Jay a positive and helpful experience!

During our PhDs, Jay and I worked together on various projects, such as organizing a symposium, and other departmental seminars. Jay is one of those special people who understands chemistry so deeply that he can explain complex concepts in much simpler terms. He likes teaching and knows how to gauge his audience, meeting them at their level of study. Jay is also funny and easygoing. If I have a chemistry question, I know he will have an answer.
