About Ahmed

As-salāmu ʿalaykum! My name is Ahmed Elashry, and I am a dedicated Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies teacher from Egypt. I have been teaching online since 2024 and have worked with children and teens from the UK, the US, and other non-Arabic-speaking countries. I hold certifications in tajweed and have completed my memorisation of the entire Qur’an. I also graduated from the Faculty of Al-Alsun (English Department), which allows me to communicate clearly and effectively with students and parents in both Arabic and English. I am known for my patience, adaptability, and friendly teaching style, especially when working with younger students. I aim to build not only strong reading and memorisation skills but also love for the Qur’an, Arabic language, and Islamic values. Every lesson is tailored to meet the student’s individual needs, whether they are beginners learning the Arabic alphabet or more advanced students perfecting their tajweed and understanding of the Deen.

About the lesson

As an experienced online Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies teacher, I specialise in working with non-Arabic speaking children aged 5–20, helping them build confidence and love for the Deen through joyful and structured lessons. My Teaching Approach: I use a student-centred method that combines traditional Islamic teaching with modern educational tools. My classes are interactive and adapted to each student’s level. I use visual aids, games (like Wordwall and Blooket), storytelling, and repetition to make learning engaging and effective. Lesson Structure & Duration: Lessons are typically 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the child’s age and focus. A class may include Qur’an recitation with tajweed, Arabic vocabulary, and a short Islamic lesson or story, depending on the student’s goals. I often include small reviews or mini-tests to help track progress. My Experience & Qualifications: I am a native Arabic speaker from Egypt with excellent English communication skills. I have been teaching Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies online since 2024 to students from various countries. I also hold certifications in tajweed and Ijazah in Qur’an, and I continuously develop my teaching skills through training and practice. Who My Lessons Are For: Children and teens aged 5 to 20 Beginners to intermediate learners Students who need help with Qur’an reading, memorisation, Arabic speaking/reading, or understanding Islamic values Every lesson is delivered with patience, energy, and care — helping your child connect with the Qur’an and their identity in a meaningful way.
