About Ian
I am an experienced violinist, singer, conductor and teacher. I have an honours degree in Music, and many years' experience, teaching privately and in schools across north and west Cumbria. I play both classical and folk music, as well as conducting choirs and orchestras. I am a Member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians - the professional body for musicians.

I'm happy to teach from complete beginners to experienced players, ages 6 - 90! I prefer to work with individuals - that way we make the most progress, but I am also experienced with groups of up to 30 beginners! I can travel to you to teach at your home if that is more convenient.
