About Andrea

I am a middle school science teacher with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. My educational background has given me extensive experience with mathematics, problem-solving, and explaining complex ideas clearly.

As both a teacher and tutor, I have worked with students who have different learning styles, ability levels, and levels of confidence. I am patient, dependable, and committed to creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to develop the skills and confidence they need to become more independent learners.

About the lesson

My math lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students who need help understanding concepts, completing assignments, preparing for assessments, or strengthening foundational skills. As a middle school teacher, I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and teaching methods to meet each student’s individual needs.

During our first lesson, I identify the student’s strengths, challenges, and current goals. A typical session includes a review of previous material, clear step-by-step instruction, guided practice, and independent problems to check understanding. I encourage students to explain their reasoning so they learn how to approach problems confidently instead of simply memorizing procedures.

What sets me apart is my patient, encouraging approach and my ability to break difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps. My goal is to help students improve their math skills while also building confidence, independence, and a more positive attitude toward learning.
