About Jorge Luis
I am a professional classical pianist with extensive training and international experience. I studied at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, spent a year at the Conservatorio Arrigo Boito in Italy, and completed my Bachelor’s degree at INBA (National Institute of Fine Arts) in Mexico. I have also participated in numerous masterclasses and courses with renowned teachers from Italy, Vienna, and Russia. For over 15 years, I have been teaching piano to students of all ages, from children and beginners to young musicians preparing for auditions to music universities. My lessons cover a wide range of repertoire, from Baroque composers like Bach, Classical like Mozart/Haydn, through the Romantic era with Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, Schubert, Schumann, Rachmaninov, and Debussy, to early 20th-century composers such as Prokofiev and Scriabin. As a teacher, I focus on interpretation and artistic understanding, rather than just technical perfection. My goal is to help students become true artists at the piano, expressing musical ideas with soul and connecting genuinely with their audience. I especially enjoy teaching students who love music and want to explore it deeply. I teach in English and Spanish, and offer lessons in my studio, at your home, or online. Outside of music, I am also a painter, illustrator, and writer, which enriches my artistic perspective and inspires my teaching.
