About Shivam
Hello Future Mathematicians and Chemists! I’m thrilled at the opportunity to guide you through your GCSE Maths and Chemistry journey. As a current fourth-year medical student in London, I intimately understand the challenges and rewards of mastering these subjects. Having achieved grade 9 in both GCSE Maths and Chemistry myself, I've walked the path you're on very recently and my experience in teaching GCSE students over the last 2 years means I know exactly what it takes to succeed in the current exam specifications. My passion for teaching stems from a genuine desire to make these subjects not just understandable, but enjoyable. I believe every student has the potential to excel, and I find immense satisfaction in helping you unlock that potential. My goal isn't just to help you memorise facts, but to build your confidence and equip you with the problem-solving skills that will serve you far beyond your exams. My tutoring approach for GCSE Maths and Chemistry is built on clear conceptual understanding, not just memorisation. As a medical student with top GCSE and A level grades, I break down complex topics using real-world examples and visuals, then reinforce learning through active practice and targeted exam technique. Each 1-hour lesson focuses on diagnosing gaps, building foundational knowledge, and honing problem-solving skills, always analysing mistakes as learning opportunities. My aim is to make Maths and Chemistry genuinely understandable for students aged 14-16 across all ability levels, helping them achieve their desired grades and, crucially, cultivate lasting confidence in these subjects.
