About Ethan

I am a dedicated and approachable maths tutor with strong academic achievements and proven experience helping students succeed. Having achieved Level 8 at GCSE Maths and an A at A-Level Maths, I went on to study Maths and Sport Science at Nottingham Trent University. I am now continuing my studies in Sport Science at Coventry University, combining my passion for numbers with a disciplined, focused approach gained through years of sport. As a former first-year tutor at NTU, I have supported students with their studies and understand how to explain challenging concepts in a clear and engaging way. I take pride in creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. Whether you’re aiming to strengthen your foundation, boost exam performance, or reach top grades, I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to every session. My lessons are structured, tailored to individual needs, and designed to help you achieve your full potential.

About the lesson

I focus on breaking down complex maths problems into simple, manageable steps. I use past papers, real-life examples, and interactive problem-solving to make concepts easier to understand. My style is supportive and student-led—I adapt lessons to suit each learner’s pace and goals. Most sessions are 60 minutes, which allows enough time to cover new material, practise problems, and review progress. Longer sessions can be arranged if needed, especially for exam preparation. Qualifications & Experience Level 8 at GCSE Maths, Grade A at A-Level Maths Studied Maths and Sport Science at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) Currently studying Sport Science at Coventry University Experience as a first-year maths tutor at NTU, supporting mathematics students with their studies I tutor GCSE and A-Level students of all abilities, from those struggling with core concepts to those aiming for top grades. My lessons are ideal for secondary school and sixth form/college students who want to build confidence, improve results, or prepare for exams.
