I typically teach kids by first starting off with the basic concepts and making sure that they understand the topic through slides or reading. Then I head into example problems where I show them how to solve the problems with my direction. Finally, I give them practice problems for them to solve on their own, once they finish we go through them together and revise if necessary. What sets me apart as a tutor is being taught these subjects as a student and knowing what struggles I went through and what I needed back as a student. Using that wisdom I can help other students master these topics and gain full confidence in what they're doing.
