About Lucy
I have been an adjunct Mathematics Instructor for a Community College in California since 1988. In addition, I have been working as a student's coach, a mentor, and a 1-on-1 mathematics tutor to Calculus 1 since 1982. The results of my working with students have been consistently outstanding.

I have been teaching, either in a classroom setting or 1-on-1 for a very long time. When I start working with a student, I try to get to know his/her style of thinking and working first. I usually ask the students by showing me a problem that he/she needs help, maybe the way the student thinks of solving it. Most of the time, I have been able to pick up the student's styles and some ability from some of the initial questions I ask. I try to teach and work with the student based on methods I think best applicable to a particular student.

Details
Minimum length of tutoring is 1 hour. For length longer than 1 hour, the rate is prorated, closes to the next quarter hour. Cancellation has to be done at least 6 hours prior to prearranged sessions time; otherwise, 1 hour fee has to be paid.
Fee for first hour of tutoring has to be paid prior to tutoring start time.
