About Holden

I am a dedicated and experienced math tutor with 3 years of teaching high school and college students. Over the course of my tutoring career, I have had the privilege of helping 150-200 students understand and succeed in mathematics. My teaching philosophy revolves around making math accessible and enjoyable. I believe that with the right approach, every student can grasp complex concepts and develop problem-solving skills. I focus on building strong foundations, using real-life examples to show how math applies to everyday life. I also strive to create a comfortable, open environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and share their struggles. My approach is flexible, adjusting to each student’s needs to ensure they not only succeed in exams but also develop a genuine understanding of math. Notable achievements include helping students improve their grades significantly, gain confidence in their abilities, and build a positive attitude towards the subject. My goal is to inspire a love for math while ensuring academic success.

About the lesson

My teaching approach to mathematics focuses on creating a flexible and collaborative learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and understand the subject deeply. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to suit individual learning styles and pace. I emphasize clear communication, breaking down complex concepts into simpler, manageable parts. This ensures students not only solve problems but also grasp the underlying principles. Creativity plays a key role in my lessons, as I use real-world examples and interactive activities to make math come alive and connect it to everyday life. Integrity is at the core of my teaching – I encourage honest effort and open communication, making sure students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing difficulties. In addition to core mathematics, I also teach relevant subjects such as Calculus, Pre-calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, and even Mathematical Reasoning. My goal is to build confidence, enhance problem-solving skills, and make math an enjoyable experience for every student.
