About Sarah

I'm a university student at NYU, double majoring in Computer Science and Finance. I’ve always had a strong passion for math and problem-solving, and over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of both theory and application. I’ve tutored peers and younger students in everything from basic algebra to advanced calculus, and I genuinely enjoy helping others build confidence in their skills. My academic background, combined with a patient and adaptable teaching style, allows me to support students with a wide range of goals—whether it’s acing an exam, catching up in class, or mastering foundational concepts.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach centers on clarity, consistency, and connection. I break down complex concepts into simple, understandable parts and focus on real-world applications to help students truly grasp the “why” behind the math. Each session is structured yet flexible—starting with concept review, followed by guided examples, then independent practice with feedback. I emphasize long-term retention through spaced repetition and regular review, and I keep in close contact between sessions for any questions or quick refreshers. What sets me apart is my reliability, patience, and ability to adjust my teaching style based on the student’s needs and learning preferences. Whether you're in middle school, high school, or early college, my lessons are ideal for students seeking test prep, homework help, or a stronger understanding of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalc, or calculus.
