About the lesson

As a tutor, I focus on building a deep conceptual understanding of mathematics by tailoring my instruction to each student’s needs and learning style. Teaching Method and Techniques:
I begin by identifying what the student already knows and where gaps or misconceptions may exist. I use questioning strategies to prompt critical thinking and help students articulate their thought processes. Visual aids, real-world examples, and scaffolded problems are central to my technique, especially when introducing new or abstract concepts. A Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical session begins with a quick review or warm-up to activate prior knowledge, followed by a brief mini-lesson or clarification of the concept. We then move into guided practice, where I support the student through problems with increasing independence. The session ends with a short reflection or summary to reinforce key ideas and preview what’s next. I often assign optional practice or strategies for reviewing material between sessions.
