About Nirav
Hi! I'm Nirav, a mathematics teacher. I have been teaching mathematics throughout my career whether online or in person. My interest in mathematics led me to obtain a Master of Science degree in Pure Mathematics and a Bachelor of Education degree to help students learn better. I started working as an assistant professor of Mathematics and then shifted to high school math students as I thought there I'll have the maximum impact in students learning and growth. I personally am a believer in growth and I think all of us can learn. I wasn't great at mathematics but I liked the fact that how little do I have to memorize to do well in the subject as it's much more about thinking skills than rote memorization. My students describe me as calm, patient, and supportive. And, I like helping learners build strong foundations and sound problem-solving skills. I hope I can be a part of your learning journey and accomplish goals on the way!

My approach is constructivist and problem-solving: I build solid foundations first, then deepen ideas with many clear examples and step-by-step practice. A typical lesson starts with a quick diagnostic, followed by targeted teaching, guided problems, and a short plan for what to practice next. What sets me apart is empathy—I spot obstacles early and adapt. I tutor Grades 9–12 and first-year university math: algebra, functions, calculus, statistics, probability.
