About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is grounded in data-driven instruction. I begin by assessing each student’s specific strengths and areas for growth, then design differentiated lessons tailored to meet their individual needs. My lessons follow a structured yet flexible format: we start with explicit instruction to introduce or reinforce key concepts, move into guided practice with prompting and feedback, and finish with independent practice to build mastery and confidence.

What truly sets me apart as a tutor is my use of engaging, student-centered strategies that help learners not only improve their skills but also develop a genuine sense of confidence and ownership over their reading and writing. I believe that literacy is the foundation for academic success, and I work to make every session meaningful and motivating.
