About Jane

My lessons are designed to provide more than language instruction alone; they offer a personalized educational experience tailored to each student’s individual goals, interests, and learning style. I carefully develop customized curricula to support students in improving conversational fluency, preparing for examinations, or gaining a deeper understanding of Japanese and Korean language, culture, and literature.

As an educator, I value creating a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and progressing at their own pace. In addition to language acquisition, I aim to enrich each lesson through the integration of culture, literature, and the arts, helping students develop both linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding.

I look forward to working closely with each student to establish meaningful goals and create an engaging, rewarding learning experience.

About the lesson

I hold a B.A. in Japanese and a B.A. in Education, along with a Master’s degree in Japanese studies. I have tutoring experience in Korean language education and have worked with students in both New Zealand and the United States.

My teaching approach focuses on creating personalized lessons that match each student’s learning style, goals, and interests. I believe language learning should be engaging, supportive, and culturally enriching, so I incorporate conversation practice, literature, writing, and interactive activities into my lessons whenever possible.

Through my academic background and international teaching experience, I have developed strong expertise in Japanese, Korean, parental education, and literary studies, including creative writing and poetry. I am passionate about helping students build confidence and develop a genuine love for learning languages and the arts.
