About Ashton

Ashton is a native IELTS, Proficiency, and Politics tutor from London. As an IELTS specialist I can help you improve your IELTS score. I am CELTA-qualified with a 2:1 degree in Politics from Warwick University, and currently a History Masters student at University College London. I teach IELTS students both privately and in organisations. With some tips across all four skill areas – as well as much practice! – I’ve seen students enhance their scores, some getting the difficult 7+ level at writing.

Lessons are tailored to your needs, depending on which of the four IELTS skills you need to improve.

I am an experienced teacher of Proficiency-level general English, teaching from Cambridge English course books: Proficiency Masterclass and Objective Proficiency.

For university students studying politics, I specialise in offering writing advice and feedback, helping you improve your essays.

With a background working in financial planning for government, I also teach Business English and am always happy to help with language for presentations and writing generally.

I have plenty of materials, including some of my own bespoke quizzes for IELTS and Proficiency.

I've taught 2000+ IELTS & General English hours to international students, global medical professionals, and many others.
