About Luke

I am an highly experienced and Masters educated (University of Birmingham) tutor with a specialism in the humanities and a keen interest in the Cold War and Nazi Germany. Therefore, I am perfectly qualified to support in essay writing and planning and other literary skills.

Additionally, I am confident in covering the entire specification for A Level Politics as well as select topics for History.

I am happy to support GCSE citizenship/ PHSE; and students looking for additional support in KS3 English and GCSE English Literature are also welcome.

My experience as an Educator ranges over a number of South London schools including the London Oratory School. I have facilitated debate clubs and the History Society and supervised EPQs within the Humanities. Furthermore, I have been a Form Tutor in a number of schools and served as a Housemaster in a school in Oxford.

My job is to support and coach you to be the best you can and make good progress. Let's work together to achieve your goals and allow you to be successful.

About the lesson

Lessons are tailored to your needs and we will work on small goals together.

Classes are typically in one or two hour blocks and will consist in either me directly teaching specific content or leading a discussion to support knowledge and understanding – or rather they will comprise of working through essay questions and revision activities.

Dependent on skill and ability, we can work through a variety of different exercises together and complete a number of tasks. Classes are typically suitable for KS4-5 (GCSE & A Level) but I am happy to support other ages too (including adults).

I have extensive experience tutoring in person and online and have worked in a range of secondary schools. I have successfully a ran a variety of debate clubs and history societies; and obtained excellent GCSE and A Level results last year.
