About Lydia
I am an experienced guitar tutor with over 4 years of teaching blues guitar. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Guitar Performance. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs. I teach from Beginner to Advanced levels.
I focus on slide guitar, open tunings, and fingerpicking styles. These techniques create a rich blues sound. I break down each skill into simple steps. This helps students learn with confidence.
I teach different blues styles including Delta, Chicago, and Piedmont. Students learn the unique feel of each style. I also help them develop their own sound. This builds creativity and confidence.
My teaching style is supportive and encouraging. I guide students with clear feedback. Lessons are engaging and structured. Let’s discover your musical voice through the rich heritage of the blues.

My guitar teaching focuses on building strong reading skills. I use a step-by-step and supportive approach. Students learn both tablature and standard notation. I help them feel confident with both.
We start with simple note reading exercises. Sight-reading is introduced early and gently. Rhythm notation is practised in every lesson. This builds strong timing.
As students improve, they read more complex music. I guide them in understanding patterns and structure. Sight-reading becomes more natural. Confidence grows over time.
I support students who enjoy precision and musical understanding. I also help those exploring different styles. Feedback is clear and helpful. Let’s unlock the world of written music.
