About Charlotte

I have over 8 years of experience teaching guitar both in person and online, and I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance with a focus on Contemporary Styles. I enjoy helping students discover their own musical ideas while building strong technical skills. Every lesson is shaped around each student's goals and interests.

I teach compositional techniques, guitar arranging, original music creation, harmonic concepts, melodic invention, counterpoint, and recording simple demos. I believe students learn best when they create music that feels personal to them. One student began with short melody ideas and later completed an original guitar composition with confidence.

I have worked with students from Beginner to Advanced levels, including Professional and Expert musicians who wanted to improve their composing skills. My goal is to make every lesson practical, encouraging, and inspiring. I would love to help you discover the joy of creating your own guitar music and growing as a confident musician.

About the lesson

My guitar lessons focus on helping students become confident and fluent music readers. I teach standard notation, guitar tablature, rhythm notation, and sight reading through clear and practical lessons. Every skill is introduced step by step so students never feel overwhelmed.

I also cover fretboard knowledge, note recognition, timing, chord reading, scale patterns, and musical interpretation. These lessons help students feel comfortable reading music in many different situations. I once worked with a student who only relied on tabs, and after a few months they confidently played from standard notation.

I enjoy helping learners who love classical guitar as well as those exploring jazz styles. I guide them through reading exercises that improve accuracy, rhythm, and musical understanding. This helps them become fluent readers who can perform with confidence in different musical settings.

Every lesson includes practical exercises that strengthen reading and playing at the same time. I encourage steady practice because small improvements create lasting results. Together, we will unlock the world of written music with confidence and enjoyment.
