About Samuel
Hi, I’m Samuel! Originally from Hong Kong, I have been proudly calling Glasgow my home for the past two years. My teaching philosophy is simple: I want every student to truly experience the pure joy of playing an instrument and to discover a profound sense of achievement through their musical journey.
Over the past two years, I have taught students of various ages, with a particular focus on teenagers, university students, and young adults. As a tutor holding an RSL Grade 8 certificate, I don't just teach techniques—I focus on sparking my students' passion. Whether you want to master your favourite rock solo, learn acoustic fingerstyle, or prepare for official RSL exams, I am here to guide you with patience, tailoring every lesson to your pace and goals so you can build real confidence on the guitar.

I specialise in teaching teenagers and adults (aged 12 to 40+), creating an engaging and supportive environment for both hobbyists and serious learners. With 2 years of teaching experience and holding an RSL (Rockschool) Grade 8 certificate, I tailored my teaching methods to help you achieve your goals efficiently.
For students who want to gain official qualifications, I provide comprehensive preparation for the RSL (Rockschool) exam syllabus, guiding you step-by-step through performance pieces, technical exercises, and ear training. If you are learning for fun, we can focus on your favourite songs, chords, and tabs!
Target Students: Beginners to intermediate players (Ages 12-40+)
Lesson Duration: Flexible options of 45-minute or 60-minute 1-on-1 private sessions.
