My Approach to Tutoring
My teaching approach is structured, practical, and tailored to each student’s individual learning style. With a background in law and real-world investigative experience, I focus on helping students not only understand legal concepts, but also apply them confidently in assignments and exams.
I break down complex legal topics into clear, manageable components and use real-life examples to make the content more engaging and easier to retain. I place strong emphasis on exam technique, including how to structure responses, analyze scenarios, and apply legislation effectively—skills that are essential for achieving high marks in Legal Studies.
I also provide targeted feedback, practice questions, and guided essay writing to build both confidence and academic performance.
Lesson Structure & Duration
Lessons are 50 minutes, with the option to extend. A standard lesson may include:
- Review of key syllabus content
- Explanation of difficult concepts
- Practice questions and exam-style responses
- Feedback and improvement strategies
Qualifications & Experience
I am currently completing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and work within the NSW Public Service in an investigative role, where I apply legislation, analyze evidence, and prepare legal briefs.
I also have several years of experience in law enforcement, where I conducted investigations, applied criminal law, and presented evidence in court. This gives me a strong practical understanding of how law operates beyond the classroom, which I incorporate into my teaching.
