About Emily
Being a middle school math teacher for 30 years, I have witnessed much hesitation about learning mathematics and Algebra I. I work with compassion and patience, but also understand that our given time together is precious. Reviewing learned topics and previewing new topics will help ensure mathematical success. Please feel free to bring assignments, homework, or questions from the lessons to tutoring for our discussion.

As an experienced teacher, I will first check that each student has the needed foundational prerequisites to succeed, has a variety of quality problems to investigate and achieve each standard, and is provided with lessons designed to help each student reach their full potential. Finally, I will include higher-level thinking problems to challenge them further.
