About Laila

Hello! I'm Laila, a final-year Veterinary Medicine student, due to graduate in December, at the University of Liverpool with over 10 years of experience tutoring GCSE and A Level Biology.

I have worked with students of all abilities, helping them develop a clear understanding of complex biological concepts and improve both their confidence and exam performance. I understand that biology can feel content-heavy and challenging at times, so I focus on making it structured, logical, and accessible.

I believe students perform best when they feel supported and know exactly how to improve. My approach is patient and adaptable, and I tailor each session to the individual, whether that means strengthening core understanding, refining exam technique, or building confidence under timed conditions.

Alongside my studies in a demanding STEM degree, I have developed a strong foundation in biological sciences, which I enjoy sharing in a way that is clear, relevant, and engaging.

Tutoring is something I really value, and I take pride in helping students make real, measurable progress while building confidence in their abilities.

About the lesson

I offer personalised online GCSE and A Level Biology tuition designed to help students build strong subject knowledge, exam confidence, and effective revision strategies. My teaching focuses on breaking complex biological concepts into clear, logical steps, using diagrams, active recall, and exam-style questions to strengthen understanding and long-term memory.

With 10 years of tutoring experience and as a final-year Veterinary Medicine student at the University of Liverpool, I bring both academic expertise and a practical understanding of biology in real-world contexts, helping students see how topics connect and why they matter.

Lessons typically last 50 minutes, and are structured to include clear explanations, guided practice, and targeted exam preparation. I can also offer longer sessions when needed, especially during exam periods or when covering challenging topics.

I teach GCSE Biology and A Level Biology to students of all abilities, whether they are working towards a pass, aiming for top grades, or looking to strengthen their understanding and confidence in the subject.
