About Eli

With over 9 years of experience teaching French, I specialize in guiding students who are preparing for professional translation and interpretation exams. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a focus on the French Diplomatic Track, which gives me a strong foundation in global communication and bilingual precision. My lessons are structured and purposeful, designed to build both linguistic skill and professional readiness. We focus on advanced grammar, idiomatic expressions, and nuanced vocabulary that reflect real-world usage. I incorporate exercises in both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation to build speed, accuracy, and confidence. Lessons often include comparisons between French and English cultural frameworks to strengthen students’ understanding of context and tone. I help learners navigate cultural equivalences and avoid common translation pitfalls. Whether we are translating formal texts or interpreting spoken dialogue, clarity and fluency are key. My students develop not only technical skill, but also a strong academic voice in cross-linguistic environments. Many of them go on to succeed in certification programs or enter language-based careers. I support every step of your progress with feedback, patience, and professionalism. Together, we’ll aim for mastery—so you can communicate confidently and effectively on a global stage.

About the lesson

My French teaching approach is lively, immersive, and designed to keep learners engaged through real cultural experiences. I use French cinema, series, and media clips as core materials to spark curiosity and deepen understanding. We don’t just watch — we discuss, analyze, and connect language to everyday situations and themes. Film scenes become tools for grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation in context.

Reading aloud and role-playing bring the language off the page and into your voice. I guide students to speak with clarity and confidence, applying grammar to real conversations and written reflection. My lessons support both immigrants adapting to French-speaking environments and professionals building advanced communication skills. We explore cultural differences, accents, and idiomatic expressions, all while expanding your fluency.

With consistent support and dynamic lessons, you’ll gain confidence in both spoken and written French. You’ll grow comfortable using French in social, academic, or work settings. I help each student discover their strengths and build from there. Let’s watch, speak, and succeed together — one story at a time.
