About Nomie
I have been giving private lessons since I was 18. I have a teaching background and have worked in SEN, AP and mainstream settings. I have a previous student who is now a medical practitioner. My skill in breaking down information and helping students understand the subject which I once struggled with is duly noted in all my previous experiences.

I approach the subject as a learner reminding myself of what I struggled with in order to be able to help the learners I am teaching. Mathematical applications remain the same what changes is the language in questioning . When pupils understand this, it helps them to apply prior knowledge and learning to any new content. This is a transferable skill that can be applied to anything else. I teach resilience and thinking outside the box as this may be necessary in problem solving so most of my teaching is via questioning.
