Hey, there! My name is Denovia McKenzie. I graduated from The University of Toronto Mississauga with an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree. I majored in English and minored in Professional Writing & Communications and History. I am looking forward to being your English Tutor.

I have over 4 years of experience tutoring Elementary, Middle School and High School students in English. In my tutoring sessions, I focus heavily on understanding grammar because I firmly believe that when students master the art of grammar, they will write well in any subject area. My past students' parents have commended me on the significant improvements in their child's writing skills in the classroom. I understand that each child has unique learning styles. Thus, my sessions are tailored to each child's learning needs. English and Professional Writing are two of my passions. I enjoy helping students who are passionate about English and Professional Writing. However, students who do not think they are good at English or may not like it as much are students I enjoy helping, especially. Working with these students allows me to help them overcome their fear of English and understand that learning grammar and being a good writer will benefit them in English and their other subjects.
