About Christopher

Hi, I’m Christopher — a tutor with a genuine passion for helping students grow in confidence and ability.

Over the past 7+ years, I’ve delivered 1000+ hours of tutoring, supporting students across a range of ages and abilities. In English, I enjoy helping students develop skills that go beyond the classroom — from clearer writing and stronger communication to better understanding and expression.

I started tutoring because I saw how much of a difference the right support can make. When a student feels comfortable, understood, and properly guided, their progress can change completely.

I aim to bring a calm, patient, and professional presence to every lesson. I know that English can be difficult for students in different ways — whether that is writing clearly, analysing texts, or simply finding confidence in their ideas — and I take pride in making those areas feel more approachable.

I’m reliable, supportive, and focused on helping each student move forward with clarity and confidence.

About the lesson

With 7+ years of tutoring experience and over 1000 hours of teaching, you’re getting more than extra support — you’re getting focused, personalised lessons designed to improve confidence, understanding, and performance in English.

My lessons are designed for students who want to:

improve their reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and analysis
build stronger essay structure and exam technique
feel more confident in class and assessments
receive patient, tailored support, including for SEN learners

Every lesson is shaped around the student’s current level, targets, and areas for improvement. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I make sure each session is planned to help students make the most progress possible.

I keep lessons clear, structured, and supportive. Depending on the student’s needs, we may focus on:

reading comprehension and inference
creative writing and descriptive techniques
spelling, punctuation, and grammar
essay writing and paragraph structure
text analysis and exam-style questions

Lessons are typically 60-120 minutes and designed to make every session worthwhile. A typical lesson may include:

a short recap to reinforce previous learning
focused teaching on one key skill or topic
guided practice with examples
independent work with support
clear feedback so students know exactly how to improve

I also have experience supporting SEN students, including ADHD, ASD, and low-confidence learners, using structured strategies that make learning feel manageable and productive.

The goal of my lessons is simple: strong progress, growing confidence, and real value from every session.
