About Ihsan
To me, being a tutor is about enjoying the small victories with students. I always enjoy being able to share knowledge from my experience of studying English. Whether we study texts such as 'Macbeth', or practise exam technique and writing PETAL paragraphs, I always love the feeling of being able to help my students reach their full potential! I love being able to interact with my students on a regular basis, and often find that they make really insightful contributions to our lessons. As a tutor for over 3 years, I've been able to help ease students during the stress of exam season - I'm always happy to hear from students after exams, to let me know that they found our lessons beneficial!

Hi, I'm Ihsan! I'm a third year law student and I've been tutoring English to KS3 and GCSE students for over 3 years. My lessons are always focused around my students. I feel as if my students love that each lesson is tailor-made with them in mind, and I enjoy creating a range of resources to be able to support them to success. My lessons always start and end with discussion with my students. I like to break the ice and make friendly conversation before easing my students into the lesson. I find it a good way to open up for an interactive and engaging lesson! All lessons end with a period of self-reflection, where we talk about WWW (What Went Well) and EBI (Even Better If). This is an important part of my teaching style, as I like encouraging my students to acknowledge their strengths and areas for improvement!
