About Liz
My passion and understanding of the unique learning experiences students can face has shaped the way I teach. With extensive experience, I have helped hundreds of children build confidence in their learning, and excel personally and academically. I have seen first-hand how some students fall through the schooling system's cracks, and believe an individualized tutoring plan is a fantastic tool to foster deficits in learning, and improve areas that are already strong.

I believe in working with someone's natural strengths to bolster areas of weakness. For example, a previous client had a passion for maths, and so we initially built English reading skills through doing math word problems. Depending on the client, I would recommend a session between 1.5 and 2 hours.
I have worked for 5 years as a tutor in Maths and English - for children from 3 years old to 16 years old with a range of abilities. All clients I have worked with showed marked improvement following 1 month of regular sessions (2+ times a week).
