About Victoria
I take pleasure in seeing my students succeed, helping them improve their grades and increase in confidence.
I tailor my lessons to the students' needs and areas of development, whether this be in structuring essays and improving writing technique, or with understanding how to analyse texts. This applies to both Language and Literature. I am experienced in 1:1 tutoring and find that it is an ideal opportunity to target individuals' strengths and areas where confidence may be built.
I plan lessons carefully and am familiar with teaching the texts in the GCSE exams. I aim to make lessons as varied and fun as possible by combining plenty of chance for discussion with some opportunity for analysis of texts if that is the focus. If the focus is creative writing, again there would be chance for discussion of ideas aiming to spark your imagination.
I have a very good track record of improving students' grades over a period of time.

I am an experienced, qualified English teacher in GCSE Language and Literature and I am an examiner of English Language for one of the major examining boards. I believe that if students enjoy their lessons they are able to learn effectively and therefore achieve great results and achieve their full potential. I am friendly, patient and easy to talk to and I will aim to make you feel comfortable and tailor your lessons to your development needs and interests. I will help you understand step-by-step the techniques that you need to use, and to know what the examiner is looking for in your responses.
