About Cristine

A comfortable learning environment is a successful learning environment. My goal as a tutor is to create a positive and supportive space where students never feel embarrassed about what they don't know. Everyone learns differently, and there is no “right” starting point—my job is to meet you where you are and help you build from there.

I am patient, encouraging, and genuinely enjoy helping people understand something that may have seemed confusing or frustrating at first. I will always take the time to explain concepts in different ways, listen to what is and isn't making sense, and adjust my approach to fit the individual student. Lessons should be productive, but it's also important that students leave feeling more confident than when they arrived.

Whether you need support mastering the basics, understanding a particularly difficult concept, preparing for an upcoming assignment or test, or simply want someone to help you stay on track, I am happy to work with you. My goal isn't just to make sure you can get through one assignment—it is to build and develop the understanding and confidence it takes to tackle the next challenge on your own.

About the lesson

I am a flexible, patient, and observant educator who meets students at their current skill level, designs lessons and content based on student needs and interests , and takes into account the many different learning styles of students. I am certified and experienced with students who have exceptional educational needs including learning disabilities, gifted, ADHD, autism, and social emotional concerns. I am capable of working with students of all ages, including college level and elementary, but specialize in middle to high school English skills.

I worked with Cristine for 1 year while we were both 7th grade ELA. During this time Cristine improved some of the lesson planning to better fit a wide range of students with different learning styles. Her flexibility in working with peers was phenomenal because her goals was always student achievement. She was a great co-worker.
