About Sally
I am passionate about reading, learning and having fun. These days I do a lot of blogging. In addition I am an author and online tutor. I also write educational resources and do some exam marking. With over thirty years of teaching experience of all age groups and having spent a lot of time working online I find online tuition rewarding. I believe that learners should be comfortable and at ease. I am skilled at helping people reach their full potential. I work hard and expect students to do the same, but we have a lot of fun whilst doing so.

My approach depends on the student and their learning style. One approach to learning does not fit all. I assess what the student needs to fulfil their potential and together we put together a programme of tuition, activities and assessment. As an experienced examiner, teacher and librarian working from 2 to 18 year olds I am skilled at adapting my skills. I choose lesson length that works for the individual, usually no more than 1 hour. I have a lot of experience at IGCSE, IB and A level, but can teach younger children and can help adults become more confident in developing their literacy skills.

Perfect! Excellent one on one tutor. My son, for the first time, has fully engaged with English Language & Literature, and made excellent progress over the past 6 months. Sally prepares for each lesson with a different topic each week, working through techniques, and exam question structure, and even does little quizzes to lighten the end of the lesson. She sets homework or reading materials for the following week's lesson. We are very pleased with her teaching.
