About Muhammad
Hi, I’m Muhammad. I am currently a student at DCU studying Electronics and Computer Engineering. I attended school in Old Bawn, where I achieved H2s in both Higher Level Math and Physics, so I am very familiar with the local curriculum and the challenges of the Leaving Cert.
At DCU, I also serve as a student mentor, where I help others navigate their coursework and settle into university life. I really enjoy teaching and helping people find that "lightbulb moment" when a difficult concept finally clicks.
When I’m not studying or tutoring, I’m usually outdoors I have a big interest in hiking and football. I find that staying active helps me keep a clear head, and I bring that same balanced, calm energy to my tutoring sessions. I’m looking forward to helping you build your confidence and get the results you're aiming for.

My teaching philosophy is built on the idea that maths and physics are skills to be practiced, not just facts to be memorized. As an Engineering student, I don’t just teach formulas; I explain the "why" behind them, which makes the logic much easier to remember during a stressful exam.
My Methodology includes:
The First 10: We start every session with a quick 10-minute review of the previous week’s topic to ensure long-term retention.
Active Problem Solving: I demonstrate a concept, we solve a problem together, and then I provide a "challenge" problem for the student to tackle independently.
Exam Paper Mastery: We focus heavily on SEC marking schemes. I teach students how to "hunt" for marks even when they aren't 100% sure of the final answer.
Visual Learning: I use engineering-based examples to help students visualize physics concepts like mechanics and electricity.
Lesson Structure & Duration
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long. I find this is the optimal time to cover one specific topic in depth and practice three or four exam-style questions without the student losing focus. For students approaching the Leaving Cert, I also offer 90-minute "intensives" focused purely on past paper drills.
