About William
I graduated Cal Poly Pomona with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. I have a strong background in advanced mathematics, physics, and computer programming. I've tutored with Professional Tutors of America with many students of all ages. I have two children, both of which I was able to help them through their undergraduate science and mathematics classes. I take great pride in seeing my student's tackle problems that at first had them completely confused and ace classes that they at first thought were impossible to pass.

I am a college graduate and I have had tutoring experience throughout my life. In addition to working with tutoring agencies, I have tutored my own two children from primary school through their undergraduate years. With this experience I am confident I will be to tutor children of all ages and all levels of experience. I believe that patience is pivotal and many different approaches can be used to help further a student's understanding. One way in which I implement this strategy is by first helping students through a problem very similar to the one they are trying to solve. Once they have seen the step by step process to solve the problem, I then let the student solve a problem by themselves. If the student still has difficulty I give them assistance and help them to the next step. If necessary, I show the student how they can approach the problem from a different angle that may be clearer for them. I have used this approach with prior students and have had great success adapting it to a number of different subjects.
