I am Abigail Olasehinde, a practising Clinical Psychologist (PhD in view), and I have known Jane, popularly known as GodCity, since our postgraduate programme at Redeemer’s University, Ede.

From the very first day we met, Jane offered me a helping hand with what I was working on. I often describe her approach this way: Jane uses her right hand to discipline and her left hand to pull the student closer. She knows how to correct firmly without making a student feel rejected.

She is passionate, patient, selfless and genuinely invested in the potential of every student. She is also humble and teachable herself. If she does not understand something, she asks questions, welcomes feedback and is always willing to learn and improve.

Her impact as an educator is also evident in her leadership. At a Montessori school in Ota where she served as Assistant Principal, she helped transform a school with fewer than 50 pupils into one with over 150 students. The school also progressed from struggling to meet teachers’ salaries to being able to pay its staff, acquire school buses and build substantial savings.


In 2025, Jane invited me, as a Clinical Psychologist, to speak with her students and their parents about managing emotions and becoming better versions of themselves. It was a practical, engaging and insightful session, and it showed me once again that Jane understands that education goes beyond academics. She cares about the emotional wellbeing, confidence, character and overall development of her students.

Jane is the kind of educator who combines knowledge with compassion, discipline with warmth, and leadership with humility. She genuinely wants to see people become better.
