About Tayla
Hello! My name is Tayla, and I’m a compassionate and dedicated Education Support Worker based in Victoria. I have several years of experience working with children in both classroom and one-on-one settings, including those with learning difficulties and additional support needs. I’m passionate about helping children feel confident in their learning and believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed at their own pace. I create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel safe to explore new concepts, ask questions, and grow their skills in a way that suits them best. As a dedicated Education Support Worker with several years of experience, I offer patient and personalised tutoring tailored to each child’s individual learning style and needs. I specialise in working with primary school students, including those with learning difficulties such as ADHD, autism, and dyslexia.
My approach is calm, supportive, and flexible. I use a variety of teaching methods—visual, hands-on, and verbal—to make lessons engaging and easy to understand. I believe building a child’s confidence is just as important as building their academic skills.
Lessons typically run for 45 minutes to 1 hour and focus on key areas of English (reading, writing, comprehension) and maths (foundations, number skills, problem-solving). I adapt each session based on the student's current level and goals.
I currently work as an Education Support Worker and have extensive experience supporting students both one-on-one and in small groups. My background in childcare has also given me a strong foundation in child development and communication.
These sessions are ideal for primary school-aged children who need extra support in English and maths, especially those who may struggle in a typical classroom setting or need a more personalised approach to learning.
