About Freddie
I am a university student studying MA (Hons) Economics at the University of Edinburgh, with strong academic foundations across GCSEs, A-Levels, and the Scottish curriculum. In the coming academic year, I will also be continuing my studies as a Visiting Student at the University of Pennsylvania, reflecting my academic ambition and commitment to operating at a high academic level.
I have a genuine interest in Economics and enjoy understanding how theoretical models connect to real-world outcomes. I am particularly drawn to the analytical and problem-solving aspects of the subject and take a disciplined, structured approach to my own studies.
Throughout my education, I have been involved in supporting other students academically, including leading a peer tutoring programme at school. These experiences have shaped my ethos around clarity, consistency, and high standards, as well as the importance of building confidence alongside technical understanding.
I value professionalism, reliability, and clear communication, and aim to be someone students and parents can trust to provide steady, well-organised support over the course of an academic year.

Lessons are structured, focused, and tailored to the individual student. Drawing on first-hand experience of GCSE, A-Level, and Scottish curriculum Economics, I understand the conceptual and technical challenges students face and design sessions to build both understanding and confidence.
Each lesson prioritises clear explanation of economic concepts, supported by diagrams, worked examples, and exam-style questions. Emphasis is placed on applying theory accurately, structuring written responses effectively, and developing the analytical skills required for high-mark answers.
Lessons are delivered primarily online and are fully adaptable to suit the student’s learning style and academic objectives. Session lengths typically range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on focus, workload, and goals. Sessions may involve structured walkthroughs, interactive problem-solving, or targeted exam preparation as required.
The aim of every lesson is measurable progress—stronger conceptual clarity, improved exam technique, and increased confidence over time.
