About Vicky
I am an experienced EAL teacher, having taught in Columbia University, City University of New York, National Taiwan University, and National Tsinghua University. I specialize in teaching English composition, as well as test preparations including IELTS and TOEFL. I am currently a PhD Education student in the University of Melbourne. I graduated with a TESOL Masters degree from Columbia University.

I am an advocate of student-centered learning. For all my classes, the needs of the student is my greatest concern. In order to help each individual learner, different methods are adopted to stimulate the greatest learning progress for the student. I also aim at developing the interests and study approaches for younger learners, and at the same time encourage mature young adults to take more responsibility in the learning process. Preparing students for examinations is what I have been devoted to. With in class and homework practices, an obvious improvement in grades can be observed.

Perfect! I had only 5 weeks to prepare for IELTS and she assisted me to reach my goal score 6 within in the short period. She especially focused on my speaking. I can't express what I want to say with my limited vocabulary, but she understands it because of her extensive experience and make scripts for me. She also gave me a lot of tips for IELTS. She's not only a professional teacher but also a thoughtful person she even checked up on me until I get the result. I ended up getting 6.5 for my first English exam thanks to her lessons. I'm a shy person but I enjoyed her lesson and chatting with her. Best teacher ever and highly recommended!!!!
